REPORT OF THE ANGLOPHONE CONFERENCE
held from 26th to 30th May 2008
in the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

Members of the National Reference Group for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults as well as representatives from the Diocesan Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult teams attended the International Episcopal Conference on Child Protection at the Bishops' Conference Centre in Washington in May of this year.
Dr Steven Rossetti, President of St. Luke's Institute attended for part of the event along with researchers from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
The merits of policies and procedures being developed within the different national jurisdictions was highlighted.
Each Conference was invited to share the situation in their own country and many participants commented favourably about developments in Scotland concluding that the Catholic Church was making great stirdes in improving and maintaining safe environments for all.
